1980 Yamaha XS650 Cafe Racer
Marc from Angeren, The Netherlands, made available these pictures of his striking 1980 Yamaha XS650 Cafe Racer.
Marc: "I built this cafe racer on the basis of a Yamaha XS 650 and parts of various other makes."
This 1980 Yamaha XS650 Cafe Racer is a true bastard...
Marc: "Front forks, wheel and brakes are Yamaha VMax, headlight Suzuki Bandit. The fuel tank and seat are Honda Four, modified."
Marc: "Homemade stainless steel exhaust system with homemade aluminum mufflers. Various homemade machined parts, like turn signals, rear light, clip-ons, headlight supports, license plate holder, offset gears, etc."
1980 Yamaha XS650 Engine
Marc: "Engine and carbs were completely overhauled. Electronic Boyer Brandsen ignition, fast camshaft. Hydraulic clutch. Start motor, gel battery is placed in the streamlined rear part of the seat."
Marc: "The engine has been tuned on Jerry van de Heiden's DynoJet in Amersfoort, the Netherlands."
Marc: "Custom brake lever and shift lever are by Niko Bakker."

Marc: "Rear swing arm, rear wheel, brakes and suspension are of a Honda Fireblade."
